Privacy Policy

Your practice is personal. This policy explains what stays on your device, what our service providers process, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Pelfi is operated by Remetric Labs Inc. We are responsible for the personal information handled by Pelfi. This policy covers the Pelfi iPhone app and pelfi.app.

Your practice information

The iPhone app stores your optional first name, selected program, previous exercise experience, preferred practice time, onboarding progress, favourites, lesson completion, completed and interrupted sessions, optional effort ratings, and settings such as voice guidance, vibration cues, and reminders.

This information is saved on your iPhone to personalise the app, remember your place, and display your practice history. Pelfi does not upload these practice records to a Pelfi account or use them for advertising. Your device or operating-system backups may contain copies, depending on your Apple settings.

Onboarding does not ask for diagnoses, symptoms, pregnancy status, or medical records. Exercise preferences and practice history can still be sensitive. Pelfi does not measure muscle activity or assess your health or technique.

The website and quiz

You can browse the website and try the quiz without creating an account. Quiz answers, including an optional first name, are stored in session storage in your browser tab. We do not send them to our servers, RevenueCat, Stripe, or analytics, or put them in the address bar.

The quiz stops reusing saved answers after two hours. Start over clears the saved answers for that quiz. Closing the tab or clearing site data can also remove them; browser session-restoration features may retain a copy. The quiz currently does not transfer your answers to the iPhone app.

Cloudflare hosts the website and provides Pelfi infrastructure, including public content delivery where configured. Hosting providers process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, requested URLs, and browser or device information to deliver content, maintain reliability, and prevent abuse. Do not include sensitive information in URLs.

Membership and payments

Apple processes purchases made through the App Store. RevenueCat helps Pelfi show offers, validate purchases, restore access, and check membership status. This involves a membership identifier, product and transaction identifiers, purchase and renewal dates, entitlement status, and technical device or app information. We do not receive your full payment-card details from Apple.

Web purchasing is not enabled on the public website at the date of this policy. If you have a web purchase or a test purchase, RevenueCat and its payment provider, Stripe, may hold the email address, billing details, transaction information, and membership identifier supplied during checkout. Purchase and redemption emails help connect that membership to the app. Pelfi does not send quiz answers with the purchase link. Payment providers process financial information under their own privacy notices as well as applicable service agreements.

Deleting practice data or making a privacy request does not cancel a subscription. Manage an App Store subscription through Apple. For help with any existing web membership or purchase record, email support@remetriclabs.com.

Reminders, audio, and educational links

Practice reminders are scheduled locally on your iPhone after you allow notifications. You can change the schedule in Pelfi or turn off notifications in iPhone Settings. Audio guidance plays recorded or on-device speech; Pelfi does not need microphone access or upload your voice to provide it.

The app may download public program content and artwork from Cloudflare. Those requests do not include your name, quiz answers, practice history, or membership identifier. Downloads are cached on your device. If you open an external educational resource, the destination website receives your request and its own privacy policy applies.

Analytics and advertising

Optional product analytics and advertising attribution are disabled in the current public-release configuration. The website does not load advertising pixels, run session recordings, or send quiz events to an analytics provider. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Developer and testing versions may use PostHog to measure a limited set of app interactions, such as onboarding steps, membership actions, and session starts or completions. These events use a random identifier and do not include names, email addresses, quiz answers, selected programs, exercise identifiers, or effort ratings. Test analytics can be disabled with Help improve Pelfi. Turning it off stops future events; it does not delete earlier events.

Before enabling optional analytics or advertising in the public service, we will update this notice and provide any consent choices required by applicable law.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request, resolve product or payment issues, and handle privacy requests. Our email service provider processes these communications. Please send only the information needed to help you; we do not need medical records or full payment-card details.

Why we use information

We use information to provide the features you request, manage membership, respond to support requests, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. Where UK or European data-protection law applies, our legal bases are performance of a contract for requested services and membership; legitimate interests in providing support and securing the service; legal obligations for required transaction records and lawful requests; and consent where required for optional processing. You may withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Information that is necessary to validate a purchase is needed to provide paid access. An optional first name and effort rating are not required. Quiz selections change the content you see; they are not automated decisions about medical suitability and do not produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Who receives information and where

We use the providers described above for hosting, content delivery, membership, payments, and support. They may process information in Canada, the United States, and other countries where they and their subprocessors operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from those where you live. Contact us for information about the locations and transfer safeguards applicable to your records.

We may disclose information when required by law, to address fraud or security incidents, or to protect legal rights. If Pelfi is transferred to another operator, relevant records may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable privacy requirements and notice of material changes.

How long information is kept

• On-device practice records: until you erase them in the app or remove the relevant app data. Copies in your exports or device backups are controlled separately.
• Website quiz answers: used for up to two hours in the current browser session, as explained above.
• Membership and transaction records: for as long as needed to provide or restore access, resolve payment issues, and meet applicable accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal requirements.
• Support and privacy correspondence: for as long as needed to resolve the request, maintain necessary records of its handling, and address related legal obligations or disputes.
• Technical and security records: according to the hosting provider’s retention settings and the period needed to operate and protect the service.

Retention depends on the type of record and the reason it is needed. You can ask us about a particular record or request deletion. We will explain any legal or operational reason we cannot delete it immediately.

Your choices and rights

In the iPhone app, Profile → Your data lets you export practice information or erase local practice data. Erasing it removes saved practice state and reminders and returns you to onboarding. It does not cancel membership, delete previous exports or Apple backups, or automatically remove records held by service providers.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a privacy regulator. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Email support@remetriclabs.com with your request. We may ask for proportionate information to verify that the records are yours. We cannot retrieve practice information stored only on your phone. For records processed on our behalf, we will coordinate with the relevant provider; Apple and payment providers may also need to handle requests relating to their independently controlled records.

You may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, or your local data-protection authority, including in your EU country of residence.

Children

Pelfi is designed for adults and is not directed to children. We do not ask for a date of birth in the quiz. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

Security and changes

We use measures such as encrypted network connections, device file protection, and limited data collection to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security. We will update this page when our practices change, show the effective date, and provide additional notice or request consent when required.
